Syllabus Information

Activity Overview
This meeting is designed to enhance knowledge and increase competency in the treatment of cardiovascular disease.

Target Audience
This activity is designed for an audience of physicians, nurses and pharmacists.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Implement tools, resources, and regulations that impact the cardiovascular business practice environment necessary to remain financially successful in an era of payment reform
  • Review cardiovascular evaluation and diagnosis during pregnancy
  • Describe the impact on patient care of the heart failure guidelines, the atrial fibrillation guidelines, and the chest pain guidelines
  • Identify current available therapies for aortic valve disease for appropriate referral
  • Examine appropriate strategies for identifying patients who are at high-risk for cardiac events and progression of atherosclerosis
  • Review the management of multiple CVD risk factors

Criteria for Success
There is no fee to participate in this activity. Statements of credit will be awarded based on the participant’s attendance.  A statement of credit will be available upon completion of an online evaluation/claim credit form available at:
