Earlier in 2019, Dr. Richard Kovacs, MD, became the president of the American College of Cardiology. IU Health colleague, Dr. Julie Clary, MD, wanted to do something to commemorate this great honor. “There’s a [Sagamore of the Wabash] nomination process you can go through,” says Clary. “Because we see him every day, I think we forget how lucky we are to have him working with us.” Dr. Clary kept it a secret, but spent months going through the nomination process on Dr. Kovacs’ behalf.
